ArtCast™ Statuary Cement:
PRODUCT NAME: ArtCAST™ Cement (ID#1170)
A component of BODY PARTS™ LifeCast™ Kit (#1120) / ChildCast™ Kit (#1110) / StudioPak™ (#1140).
Also used at LifeCast™ Studios.
Other Trade Names: Hydrocal White manufactured by United States Gypsum.
Health Hazard Information:
Inhalation: Dust considered nuisance. Use NIOSH respirator if above TLV (large air born quantities).
Ingestion: Hardens when wetted and if ingested may result in obstruction. CALL PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY!
Direct Eye Contact: Flood with water for 15 minutes.
Specific Gravity: (H2O=1): 2.7
Toxicity: No harm via exposures of normal use.
Precautions for Safe Handling and Use:
Disposal: Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Slurry may plug drains.
Precautions: May cause irritation of eyes and skin. May develop sufficient heat to cause burns if a large mass is kept in contact with skin while hardening. Remove from skin and clothes by washing off before hardening.
Precautions: As part of good hygiene and safe artistic practice avoid prolonged or unnecessary exposure to the material. Do not swallow the dry powders. Avoid prolonged inhalation of dust.

Portland Cement (3% – 4%): TLV: 10 mg/M3 (ACGIH, 1981 – 5 mg/M3 respirable)

Appearance and Odor: White, odorless powder with varying final viscosity.
Chemical Group & Water Solubility: Calcium Sulfate Hemihydrate with 0.2% solubility. NOT COMBUSTIBLE.
Reactivity Data:
Hazardous Decomp Products: Stable with no hazardous polymerization occurrence.
